Black Charred cladding.
This stunning option added to the build gives an amazing contrast of old and new combining, from the white of the original property, to the smokiness of the black with the new extension.
This paired with mellow subtle lighting, gives the feeling of ultimate coziness and relaxation.
The extension now features Crittall style doors, nestled between the rich cladding perfectly complementing one another, allowing the opening to the outdoors to blend smoothly with it's surroundings. This style is becoming increasingly more popular and we think this project gives the perfect example as to why.
These sleek and modern doors allow the space to be flooded with natural light and creates the most perfect garden views to enjoy whilst dining.
The brief was to extend separately into the side return of the property and out towards the rear, creating a staggered rear wall.
This helps to create 'zones' within the new space provided.
For the rear, a pitched roof was added to create the appearance of a gable design where the Crittall style doors sit snug.
We wanted to look closer into the finer details of the cozy dining area, in this perspective you can see the surrounding windows providing beautiful external light and also internal light fittings cleverly placed to provide plenty of light to the area, when the natural lighting fades.
The design also gives lots of practicality with endless cupboard space, to allow for a clean and organized area for kitchen activities.
We also see the large skylight, providing even more brightness above the cooking area - giving a 'spotlight' where you need it most. Paired with beautiful pendant lighting.
